Op 10 November 2016 wordt aan de Colombia University, New York, de workshop “Autumn of the Middle Ages, a century later” georganiseerd.

Published in 1919, Johan Huizinga’s Herfsttij der Middeleeuwen is a historiographical classic that still stands as a touchstone for studies of the late medieval Low Countries. On the eve of book’s centenary, this workshop of scholars in history, literature and art history will assess Huizinga’s arguments and how two generations of research have updated or refuted them.
